MQ Concept Fett helmet V2 progress

Got parts done and molded and pulled first set today they came out real nice and clean.Made some last minute changes to the helmet will do final sand  on those areas and start damming for molding.

Last minute changes made to the helmet: I filled in the forehead triangle and re did it mine was to short and squat, the new one is taller and skinnier like in the concept art. I also added the indent in the upper left cheek and the large circle and trapezoid to the left. The Gentle giant bust only has them on the right so that how I had it but I realized the concept art has them on both sides so I added them. Changes that will make the final piece better.

Let the wrinkling and swirling begin!

So I'm finally getting to the point with the Mystic head where I can begin to tool in the wrinkles and swirls patterns in the skin. This is very tedious but fun, once I get it to where I want it I'll gently take a cotton swab and smooth out any ragged high spots with some rubbing alcohol. For now I'm just making the furrows and swirls and Ill go in and define them afterwards.

Death to Jabba

Years ago I bought The Illusive Concepts Jabba Maquette and last year I put it in a box to store it until I had a better place for it well I took it out today and its basically ruined and rotting. The coating they used to seal it and make him look slimey has broken down and is all cracked, and underneath it is sticky and gooey.
Latex is a natural product and will rot over time but this I think is more the coating on the outside.

Here is what he used to look like:

12" custom figure Complete!

Awhile back I got commissioned to do a 12" (16th) scale figure based off a drawing done by the customer.I cant remember and am to lazy to go back and look but I think I posted some early WIP on here. Anyway I was very happy how it came out and so was he which is a good thing.
I had to deviate away from the drawing in a few ways a tad, like the fingers I didnt have spread apart in fear of them breaking off easily if bumped and I slightly changed the position of the body so it would stand up on its own with out tipping over or having to make base.I used sculpture wire for the stem and vines so they wouldnt break.
The pics have a little flash wash out to them makes the skin tone look a lot lighter than it was and shows none of the shading I did.Anyway here is the original drawing and the finished figure.
